Formula 1 drivers Bruno Senna and Giorgio Pantano were in charge of the development while Jérôme D'Ambrosio, winner of 2007 International Formula Master, was subsequently promoted to Formula 1 in 2011 (with Marussia Virgin Racing) and in 2012 (with Lotus F1 Team).
